Ep. 97: Don’t let your next move become a Greek tragedy

Welcome to the Small Business Miracles Podcast. My name is Jeff Randolph. This small business podcast is brought to you by EAG Advertising and Marketing.

We’re here to talk about marketing, and we’re also here to celebrate entrepreneurs—and we have one with us today.

Andrew Bristow is the owner of Pantheon Moving. Andrew, welcome to the show.

Andrew: Thank you. It’s a pleasure to be on. I’m excited to tell everybody about us and how we can help.

Jeff: Yeah, we’re looking forward to this. You’ve got the swag on—this is the uniform. Tell me about Pantheon Moving. What is it that you do?

Andrew: Yeah, so we’re a moving and logistics company. We do commercial and residential work—everything from homes and apartments to full offices and warehouses. We move specialty items like pianos, hot tubs, and pool tables.

We also do junk removal, packing, and even help with cleaning. We try to be a full-service, white-glove provider to take as much stress out of moving as possible.

We also handle coast-to-coast moves and help commercial companies with last-mile logistics, delivery, warehousing, and receiving. So we’re really an all-in-one moving and logistics company.

Jeff: That sounds fantastic. Let’s start with the name—Pantheon. I’ve seen your messaging: “Don’t let your next project become a Greek tragedy.” Where did the name come from?

Andrew: I’ve always been interested in Greco-Roman history and architecture. I wanted something unique that stood out.

The Pantheon is the oldest still-standing concrete building, so the name represents reliability, durability, and standing the test of time.

Jeff: That’s strong branding. Now, you mentioned white-glove service. You’ve expanded beyond just moving — why?

Andrew: As we’ve grown, we’ve worked with event companies and furniture stores. For example, we deliver furniture, bring it inside, unpack it, and assemble it.

Moving is one of the most stressful life events—up there with death and divorce. So we want to reduce that stress as much as possible.

Jeff: That emotional awareness is huge. Do you see that impact firsthand?

Andrew: Definitely. Especially with older clients moving into retirement homes—they’re nervous. But we get feedback that our team is kind, supportive, and makes the transition easier.

We always make sure they’re fully satisfied before we leave.

Jeff: That’s powerful. Let’s talk about junk removal — how big or small can that get?

Andrew: Anything from a single appliance to full estate cleanouts. We also help sort items for donation or disposal.

We partner with places like Habitat ReStore and Flourish Furnishing, and we work with mental health organizations too. We try to give back when we can.

Jeff: That’s fantastic. So what’s next for Pantheon Moving?

Andrew: More commercial contracts, more furniture partnerships, and expanding nationwide with warehouses to support logistics.

Jeff: You recently had a booth at the Home Show with a unique backdrop—tell me about that.

Andrew: My wife created it—she has a background in media art and design. It was a black backdrop with gold and silver splatter — our brand colors.

We used it as a photo opportunity to draw people in.

Jeff: Smart marketing — experience over product.

You also have a World Cup logistics page—are you a soccer fan?

Andrew: Not really — but our team is! We’re close to KC Current Stadium, so we’re preparing for opportunities to support incoming teams and visitors.

Jeff: Fair enough — Messi fans on staff?

Andrew: Definitely.

Jeff: Tell me your “small business miracle.”

Andrew: Honestly, our whole startup. I worked at another moving company but couldn’t move up due to my age. So I started my own—out of my mom’s garage—with a Honda Civic.

We did labor-only jobs at first, then grew into cargo vans, trucks, and now a warehouse with multiple employees and vehicles.

Jeff: You started a moving company… with a Honda Civic?

Andrew: Yep. Still have it, too.

Jeff: That’s incredible.

Jeff: What do you wish you knew more about?

Andrew: Marketing and advertising. Early on, everything was word-of-mouth, but now I see how important consistent marketing is.

Jeff: Last one — how do you unwind after a long day?

Andrew: Honestly, I usually forget to eat during the day. So I just eat whatever’s available and drink tea—green tea usually — and crash.

Jeff: If someone wants to work with you, where do they go?

Andrew: Visit our website at www.pantheonmoving.com, call us directly, or reach out on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

Jeff: Andrew, thanks for being here.

Andrew: Thank you — it was a great experience.

Jeff: And that’s our show. Thanks for listening. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave a five-star review. Drop us a line at eagadv.com.

Until then, we’ll be out here helping entrepreneurs with another small business miracle.
