Adams Dairy Bank announces Bill Essmann as its new relationship development officer. Essmann, a well-known business leader in Blue Springs, was an obvious choice to grow the bank’s core business, customers and relationships.

“Growing core deposits continues to be very important to our success and is how we will propel our bank to the next level in Blue Springs and eastern Jackson County. In this role, Bill will be able to focus solely on all the components of steady, deliberate and healthy growth for a bank. He will increase our awareness through meaningful relationships in an expanding market. More and more of our customers are coming from towns and counties to the east of Blue Springs and from Lee’s Summit,” states David Chinnery, Adams Dairy Bank president and CEO. “Bill is a known business builder and connector in these communities as well as in Blue Springs.”

Essmann has a proven knack for developing relationships through service and engagement. Essmann served as an Adams Dairy Bank charter board member, serving since 2008. He serves on the Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation’s board of directors and was the chair for 2013 – 2014, as well as past chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Medical Center. Most recently, Essmann was general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and Adams Pointe Conference Center in Blue Springs and involved with all facets of sales, management and operations.

Relationship building plays a big role in Essmann’s personal life too. He is committee chairman for the Blue Elk District of the Heart of America Council, Boy Scouts of America. The district chairman administrates the program, activities, advancement, membership, fundraising and finance in support of the troops, packs and crews of local youth scouts and volunteer leaders.

“Whether volunteering my time with youth, serving on various local boards or at work, I’m constantly out in the community. Through networking, conversation and listening, I learn what matters most to people and create or make them aware of opportunities available,” explains Essmann. “Adams Dairy Bank is the premiere relationship-based community bank in eastern Jackson County. I know our customer relationships are based on trust, and I’m excited to build and support these relationships out in the community versus from the board room.”

As a charter board member, Essmann helped mold the bank’s culture, systems and procedures that led to assets of over $100M and being one of the largest locally-owned banks in Kansas City area. “Bill has been here since the beginning and instrumental in our financial growth and community standing. Now, he will ensure a culture of premier service inside the bank in support of our reputation out in the community. We’re excited to have him make the transition from our board room to the lobby and beyond,” says Cathy Lincoln, Adams Dairy Bank’s chairman of the board.
