Assel Grant Services announces that Emily Hampton, MPA, and Michele Ryan have joined the firm as Grant Associates. With the addition of Hampton and Ryan, the firm has grown to a staff of fourteen, eight of whom are credentialed grant professionals, or Grant Professional Certified (GPC). Assel Grant Services employs more GPCs than any other firm in the country, which matters greatly to the increasing number of clients who rely them for outsourced grant support in the key areas of research, organization development, program design, grant application construction and submission, grant management, ethics, professionalism, funder relationships, and quality writing.
Hampton earned her Bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a Master’s degree in public administration. She brings over a decade of experience working in the nonprofit sector to the firm. Over the years, Hampton has raised over $400,000 for clients in the areas of health, food security, equity and youth development. Also, she founded and directed a nonprofit in Lawrence, KS, and is a member of the Heart of America chapter of the Grant Professionals Association.
“I am eager to put my skills to use writing grants for many impressive nonprofit organizations. Assel has had a huge impact on the philanthropic community in Kansas City and beyond and I am honored to be a part of it,” says Hampton.
Ryan studied English literature and history with a minor in Italian as an undergraduate, and earned her Master’s degree in international relations. She brings twenty years of non-profit sector experience in elementary, secondary, higher education, performing arts and social services, and has broad fundraising knowledge with a focus on grant writing and management in the Greater St. Louis Region. Michele has successfully secured over $15 million in funding from government, foundation, corporate, and individual sources over the course of her career.
“I am proud to join Assel Grant Services, a firm that has a wide-reaching reputation for excellence and integrity in the non-profit community. I welcome the opportunity to serve the firm’s diverse clients, combining my experience working with a broad range of non-profits with the depth and knowledge of AGS’s talented team members,” says Ryan.
For organizations interested in grant funding from the federal government, seeking funds from local foundations in their town, county or state, or even struggling to start a proposal due in less than a month, Assel Grant Services has experienced grant professionals, knowledge of diverse funding streams, and knowledge of the best practices of the full grant cycle to improve grant funding success.
“Emily and Michele are great examples of the high-quality staff we are hiring, as Assel Grant Services continues to provide grant services to the increasing number of organizations seeking outsourced grant solutions. We’re very happy to have them join our team”, says Julie Assel, Assel Grant Services President and CEO.
