Summertime and the shopping is easy. Beginning Thursday, July 12, the Brookside Business Association presents the 2012 Brookside Summer Sidewalk Sale. With more than 80 stores, restaurants and services, Kansas City residents can stroll down Brookside streets, perusing the hottest sales from their favorite Brookside merchants.

Brookside, a charming neighborhood in the heart of Kansas City, was originally planned and built in 1920, becoming the city’s first suburban shopping area.
