Cindy Wysong Joins Boyer & Corporon

Boyer & Corporon Wealth Management (Boyer & Corporon) welcomes Cindy Wysong as the firm’s new para planner. She will provide technical support for the firm’s lead financial advisors, including data gathering, case design, scenario building and plan development – for their growing client list in Kansas City and nationwide.

A life-long learner with a strong background in continuous improvement, Cindy says her new position and the firm are an ideal fit for the efficiency expert side of her personality. “Boyer & Corporon has done a great job of creating client-oriented processes that bring real value to our clients.  It is rewarding, refreshing and invigorating to work with everyone here to help clients achieve their goals. Doing what is truly best for the client is extremely satisfying.”

Continuous improvement and efficiency have become integral parts of Cindy’s life, both personally and professionally. In college at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., Cindy played varsity basketball, effectively juggling the demands of class and athletics well enough to earn her undergraduate degree in business in just three-and-a-half years.

Upon graduation from Baker, Cindy was recruited by Hallmark, where she was introduced to the idea of formal continuous improvement in manufacturing. As a production manager for Hallmark, Cindy excelled at improving efficiency and exceeding production goals.

Cindy obtained her Master of Business Administration at Baker University while working for Carrier Corporation. During her tenure at Carrier, Cindy took on increasing responsibilities in the areas of production and continuous improvement, culminating with Cindy serving as Director of Quality and Warranty for the company.

Of her experience in production management, Cindy says, “I gained a greater appreciation for processes and attention to detail. With sound processes you get sound, repeatable results that minimize errors. It’s all about trying to make people’s lives easier and helping make companies more profitable.”

Cindy’s experience in and passion for the financial services industry began at AXA Advisors.  Cindy spent three years at AXA, where she thrived in her more service-oriented role. “I found I loved getting in front of people and educating them,” she explains. “The financial world can be confusing, yet finances impact everyone and I love helping people understand their situation. Moving to Boyer & Corporon allows me to focus exclusively on the part of the industry that I love most, helping clients plan, helping them understand and reach their goals.”

Cindy, who lives in Lenexa, Kan. with her husband, four-year-old son and three-year-old daughter, prioritizes self-improvement and learning even in her personal life. Last year she set a goal to read more. To help achieve that goal, she joined a book club where she is the youngest member by two decades. “I love to read, but while raising two small children, it’s easy to put your own hobbies on hold. I’ve just learned to make it a priority. I’ve appreciated being pushed outside my comfort zone, reading authors I’ve never read before.”
