For the seventh year, Jeffrey Byrne & Associates, Inc. (JBA) is sponsoring an event that gives the Kansas City-area nonprofit community direct access to the lead researcher and author of the annual Giving USA report.
JBA, a Kansas City-based national fundraising consultancy that specializes in capital and endowment campaigns, is the only local member of The Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits, an international association of leaders in the philanthropic consulting field and founder of the Giving USA Foundation.
The Giving USA Foundation publishes data and trends about charitable giving through its seminal publication, Giving USA, which has been documenting “who gives what to whom” for more than 50 years. Its research partner in this annual project is the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, led by its Executive Director, Patrick M. Rooney, Ph.D., a nationally recognized expert on philanthropy and charitable giving.
As has been the case since 2005, JBA will again sponsor a free Giving USA event in Kansas City, bringing the local nonprofit community the chance to hear Dr. Rooney’s uniquely insightful presentation on the latest research into U.S. philanthropy, as well as the opportunity to ask questions directly and discuss implications of the findings for local fundraising initiatives. The event is Tuesday, July 26 at the Kauffman Foundation. For more information, or to register, visit co-sponsor Nonprofit Connect’s website.
