MEDIA TRAINING
Media Training Services
One bad interview doesn’t just have one bad day; it lives on forever. Which is why media training is a vital part any company’s public relations plan, and is a valuable skill to have. Whether it’s a feature story or a live news segment, your leaders and spokespeople should feel confident in how they present themselves and (more importantly) the company. EAG’s media training workshops are designed around hands-on practice and feedback to prepare a spokesperson or any public-facing executive to convey messages clearly, confidently and professionally during interviews, press conferences and other media engagements.

EAG’s PR team is made of people who have had experience in the newsroom. They know the ins and outs of a good interview, and what reporters are looking for. This helps shape what we teach, from body language, how to handle unknowns and what to say (or not say!) to any question a reporter or interviewer may ask.

There is Such a Thing as Bad Publicity
We’ve all heard the saying, “there’s no such thing as bad publicity.” But the truth is, bad publicity can cost your personal and business reputation greatly. Bad interviews live online long after they are published, which means they can resurface many times and impact what shows up in online searches.
Want a preview of what we teach? Listen to EAG's Chief Public Relations Officer, Ryan Gerding, break down the essentials: Why, "no comment" is never actually no comment; How reporters use silence against you; What "home base" means in practice and many other important topics. Ep. 95: There Is Such a Thing as Bad Publicity
Media training pairs well with a strong content marketing strategy and confident podcast appearances, especially when your executives are guided by fractional CMO leadership.
