An Adams Dairy Bank Original Founder “Comes Home”

Duston Weisenborn Returns to the Bank as Vice President and Chief Credit Officer.

duston_weisenbornAdams Dairy Bank today announces that Duston Weisenborn, one of its three original founders, returns as the bank’s vice president and chief credit officer. Weisenborn helped found Adams Dairy Bank in 2007, while he was still studying for his business administration and management degree at the University of Central Missouri.

“Duston attended his classes and came back to work at 1 p.m.,” says David Chinnery, Adams Dairy Bank president and CEO. “He was helping me sell $8 million in stock, apply for a charter and submit our strategic plan. He’s been with us from the beginning.” A teller at First Community Bank when Chinnery first met him, Weisenborn worked his way up through the ranks to assistant vice president and loan officer at Adams Dairy Bank. He left in August 2013 to join Country Club Bank as assistant vice president and financial center business development manager.

“Leaders always look for growth opportunities,” explains Chinnery. “Country Club Bank is a really good bank, and any time someone gets an opportunity to work there, they usually take it. Obviously, we didn’t want to see Duston go, but it was for the best because now he’s ‘coming home’ with even more skills than he had before.”

“I have worked with David since my first days in the banking industry,” explains Weisenborn. “When he first asked me to help start Adams Dairy Bank, I thought he was kidding. But he wasn’t, and I quickly said ‘yes.’ It’s been an honor to be part of the bank’s history, dating back to when we operated off a folding table in what we called the ‘War Room.’”

Many of the decisions Weisenborn had a hand in making during those early years still influence Adams Dairy Bank today. Now with him back as vice president and chief credit officer, he will once again help guide the bank into the future based on its original values. “There is nothing with which Duston isn’t familiar. He has run the teller line, laid out our bank floor plan, picked out paint colors and decided where the doors should be. Now, he will oversee every aspect of the loan department, which is an easy transition for him, considering he knows every one of our customers. We’re thrilled to have him back,” explains Chinnery.
