Theo Terry Joins EAG Advertising & Marketing as Marketing Coordinator

“I’m looking forward to taking my knowledge of the Kansas City market and applying it to the full scope of what EAG does… having more involvement in fulfilling small business owners’ dreams and being a part of what someone else is trying to do,” Theo Terry says. Theo Terry

Theo has extraordinary knowledge of the KC market. He worked 18 years for Carter Broadcast Group, Inc. as the community relations/community news director/promotions assistant for KPRS Hot 103 Jamz and KPRT Gospel 1590 AM / 106.1 FM. Theo handled all internal and external communication related to community and public relations for the oldest Black-owned radio station in the U.S. From daily communication with on-air staff, partners and sponsors, developing on-air and online campaigns to promote awareness of services and programs, daily interviews and on-air contesting to web and social media content development, Theo orchestrated his job like a star. Lucky for EAG, he was ready to bring his talent to an expanded audience.

As our marketing coordinator, Theo will play a support role in onboarding new clients and assisting account managers with various marketing and campaign processes. Given his connections throughout the Kansas City area, don’t be surprised if you recognize or know Theo already. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, attended Sumner Academy of Arts and Science and KU before transferring to Florida, going on to graduate from Full Sail University in Florida with an Associates of Science in recording arts. Sense of community drew Theo back to Wyandotte County. He is a three-time finalist and one-time winner of NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Crystal Awards for Excellence in Community Service. Theo Terry

“Theo’s expertise and commitment to the KC community was evident even in his resume,” says Michele Markham, EAG president and chief executive officer. “Sure, the current metro area population of Kansas City is around 1.7 million, but we’re still a small town in terms of the sheer number of connections local leaders and business owners share. EAG has worked with more than 500 small businesses and supports a number of local causes. We’re thrilled to have someone like Theo who cares about our community as much as he does. It will only enhance our client experience.”
